Thanks for your votes on trade show costs!

Time to share the cost-estimating rule of thumb.

So, here's the promised tip:

To calculate what an international trade show will cost you, simply take the money you paid for the floor space and multiply it by 4.

How does it break down?

Renting the booth space will typically cost $500-1000 per square meter.

This means that the final event bill, which includes:

Renting booth space

Booth construction

Labour costs

On-site services (eg internet, electricity etc.)

Marketing collateral

Staffing, travel and accommodation

…will reach approximately $2000-4000 per square meter.

Here's a simple example:

Renting a 30-50-square-meter space? Your total cost might be around $90,000 to $150,000.

Opting for a 10-15-square-meter booth? You're likely looking at $30,000 to $45,000.

These figures may vary based on the specific show, location, and individual vendor costs, but this rule of thumb should serve as a useful benchmark.

Bear in mind, booth location is a very special budget factor

Some shows use a points system, rewarding past participation and floor space purchased.

Оoining an industry association or renting a larger booth might lead to a better booth location at the next show, potentially increasing your ROI.
